I want to be sure that all the teams know what they have to do. This is the list of activities that have to be done UP TO NOW. It is very important to do these activities in your notebooks AND through the online forms!
ACTIVITIES:
1) Choose your headline and topic and also your team name (1st session - Finding news)
2) Understand the difference between facts and opinions (2nd session - gathering news)
3) Plan your interview in order to choose your guests and prepare your questions (2nd session - gathering news)
4) Gather extra material such as pictures, sounds, etc. (2nd session - gathering news)
5) Bring a camera and a memory pen and start taking pictures and recording images.
Remember that in this blog, in the 1st and 2nd session you have interesting links to help you make news. In the 2nd session - Gathering news you have a link to download sounds and pictures with plenty of material (enough to choose a music for the opening credits, the report and the closing credits).

3rd and 4th SESSION WRITING NEWS
1) You are going to listen carefully to Huw's video and comment our ppt tips
2) You are going to do a very short "fun exercise" to practise your vocabulary. Remember to write the vocabulary and definitions in your notebooks.
3) And last but not least, you are going to write your newsreader's and reporter's scripts. Write the answers in your notebooks and then send me the scripts through the online form (you have until the day before next session to send them).
4) I have selected some extra material from the web that could help you write your news. Don't hesitate to surf the web to spell-check your scripts!

2nd SESSION - GATHERING NEWS
In this session, you are going TO GATHER NEWS.
1) First you are going to watch Huw Edward's tips (a BBC journalist) and we are going to comment special tips.
2) Then, we are going to practice with some "fun exercises". Copy the new vocabulary in your notebooks using the documents I gave you.
3) And last but not least, you are going to start "let's work" activities : 1) Fact and opinion 2) Planning an interview 3) record your interview 4) Gather extra material (pictures, film elements that could illustrate your report, select music or sounds to add to your report).
Remember that you have to send activity 1 and 2 through the online form until the day before next session and copy the answers in your notebooks using the documents I gave you. You have to keep a copy of your interview and extra material in your pen-drive.

1ST SESSION - FINDING NEWS
The objective of today's class is to find your news. You are going to watch a video with special tips, then you are going to practice your vocabulary with a very short "fun exercise" and last but not least you are going to choose your headline and topic (complete the online form and send it to me).

MAKING YOUR OWN NEWS
Today you are going to watch a video from BBC News and we are going to talk about a new activity : "making your own news" as real journalists. I want you to pay attention to the six different steps to make news and copy them in your notebooks. Then we will play a couple of games : activity 1, activity 2.

MAKING YOUR OWN NEWS!
As we told you the other day, you are going to create your own news! You watched a video to know about it. Today I want you to keep thinking on this project.
First, you should listen carrefully to the "top tips" given by the journalist (5"06) and start activity 1.
Then, I want you to guess the three objectives you have to keep in mind when you find news ( activity 2)
As Eduardo told you, remember you must copy both words and definitions.
If we have time left, you'll listen again to the six different steps in the making of news process (1"24) and copy them in your notebooks.
